Christmas Family Party Games
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s this: Christmas is about making memories, not just the perfectly wrapped gifts or the matching PJs (though those are fun too!), but the belly laughs, the goofy moments, and those warm family giggles that stay with you long after the tree comes down.
So if you’re planning a family Christmas party and want to sprinkle in some extra cheer, I’ve got you covered with the best Christmas family party games! These are simple, silly, and super fun for kids, teens, parents, and even those hard-to-crack grandparents. No fancy supplies needed, just a little prep and a lot of Christmas spirit.
Fun Family Friendly Christmas Games
1. Christmas Charades
What You Need: Slips of paper, a hat or bowl, a timer
How to Play: Write down Christmas-related actions, songs, or characters (like “building a snowman,” “singing Jingle Bells,” or “Rudolph”). One person acts it out while the others guess. You can play adults vs. kids or mix it up!
2. Wrap Race
What You Need: Wrapping paper, tape, boxes, ribbon
How to Play: Pair up in teams. One person is the wrapper, the other is the “present”! They have to wrap their partner from head to toe, using paper, ribbon, bows, and all. Fastest (and funniest) team wins.
3. Christmas Sock Guessing Game
What You Need: Clean holiday socks, random items (candy cane, ornament, pinecone, small toy, etc.)
How to Play: Hide an object in each sock. Players feel (but don’t look!) and try to guess what’s inside.
Why It’s Fun: It gets surprisingly competitive, and younger kids love the mystery of it all.
4. Pin the Nose on Rudolph
What You Need: Poster of Rudolph (or draw one), red noses cut from paper, tape, blindfold

Bonus Giggles: Play some Christmas music while they try to find the nose spot.
5. Name That Christmas Tune

How to Play: Teams race to blow up balloons, shove them under a shirt (make that “Santa’s belly”), and pop them by hugging or sitting.
Watch Out: This one gets loud and hilarious fast!
7. Cookie Face Challenge
What You Need: Cookies! (Oreos work great)
