Fathers Day Questions
One of the best Father’s Day activities we ever stumbled onto was completely by accident. We were sitting around after lunch with nowhere to be, and someone started asking my husband random questions. What was your most embarrassing moment as a kid? If you could only eat one food forever, what would it be? What is your favorite memory of us?
He loved it. Not in a polite, going-along-with-it way. He genuinely lit up. Some answers made the kids howl laughing. One answer made me tear up a little. And we learned things about him that we had never heard before, even after all these years together.
That is what good questions do. They open people up in ways that everyday conversation just does not. And Father’s Day is the perfect excuse to sit down, put the phones away, and actually talk.
Whether you use these at the dinner table, on a road trip, or as a fun after-breakfast activity, I hope they give your family some of those moments too.

How to Turn These Questions Into a Father’s Day Activity
If you want to do something a little more structured than just chatting over dinner, here are a few easy ways to turn these questions into a proper Father’s Day activity. No prep required, just a bit of paper or your phone.
The Question Jar Write 15 to 20 questions on slips of paper, fold them up, and drop them in a jar or bowl. Take turns pulling one out and reading it aloud. Dad answers first, then everyone else can answer the same question too. Works great at the dinner table or on a long drive.
How Well Do You Know Dad Quiz Pick 10 questions from the list and have Dad answer them privately first. Then ask the kids the same questions and see how many answers match. Score one point for every correct match. The kid who knows Dad best wins bragging rights for the year. Check out these Father’s Day games for more ideas like this.
The One Question Dinner Tradition Pick just one question from this list and make it the dinner table topic for Father’s Day. Go around the table and let everyone answer it, including Dad. Keep it simple and let the conversation go wherever it wants to go. Some of our best family conversations have started this way.
Father’s Day Interview Give the kids a piece of paper and let them pick five questions to officially “interview” Dad. They write down his answers. Younger kids can draw pictures to go with them. At the end, roll it up, tie it with a ribbon, and give it to Dad to keep. In ten years it will be one of his most treasured things.
